Two years ago, we had our first baby...a boy named August. As any parent can attest to, this addition to our lives changed our world in the best possible way. It was about that same time that stories of lead-painted toys and chemical-filled baby bottles began to dominate the news. We quickly became frustrated trying to locally find safe, eco-friendly, responsibly-made products for our son. After months and months of research, we decided to open our own eco-friendly children's boutique and give the parents in our town access to the safest products out there.
All of the clothing and bedding in our store is organic and fair trade. All of the toys are made of sustainable wood and water-based dyes, and are made in a socially-responsible way. We remodeled our space with 0 VOC paint and formaldehyde-free flooring. We have 100% recycled bags, but give a .25 discount to anyone who doesn't use one.
Our goal with this store was to truly be a part of our community. Every month, we give at least 2% to local organizations and offer a 10% discount to educators. We have a play area in the back of our store that has eco-friendly train tables, a dollhouse, a toy kitchen and stove, an art easel to draw on, and many culturally-diverse books to read. We have free playgroups every week and provide toys and organic snacks. Music, art, and writing classes and Storytime coming soon.
We look forward to meeting you and your children!
